White Bay – revisited

Someone emailed me about a painting they loved from my solo exhibition back in 2016! The work was sold long ago, but it’s great when people remember. It was the largest painting I had done at that time at 228cm wide. Too small they thought, so this recent commission was to be larger.

First, I submitted a ‘rough sketch’ so they could tape in situ to be sure of the size. That worked really well. It was a pleasure to do this for a lovely client, and I have finally decided that I like painting big (a nice change after many years of many hundreds of Very Small Paintings!
